Pastor
Kathryn Escandell . . . and her husband Tom raised four children and she worked as a teacher and business woman. After Tom died, she fulfilled her lifelong dream to go to seminary. She received her Master of Divinity Degree from Austin Seminary in 2010 and was ordained in 2014. Before her call to be our pastor in 2017, she was an associate pastor at University Presbyterian Church in Austin.


Facility manager and nursery attendant Adela Zamora . . . . has been on the staff for more than 30 years. She not only cares for the babies and maintains the sanctuary, offices, and meeting rooms, but knows where "anything" can be found. Adela's two sons and a granddaughter have grown up in the church.
Church Administrator Michael Pullen . . . grew up in Weslaco and has a B.A. Degree in Journalism from Southwest Texas State University. He was an award winning sports writer for The Monitor before joining the church staff in 2005. His passions are music and the great outdoors.
Organist Beverly Bradburn . . . took her first piano and organ lessons from her mother. At age 17, she began playing the organ in church. She has a Master of Music Degree from the University of South Dakota. Her entire professional career was with the McAllen Schools including more than 25 years at Morris Middle School where she discovered her passion is middle school choir.


Choir Director Roberto Garza . . . began his career as a church musician at age 17 when he conducted the youth choir at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Edinburg. While working toward his B.A. Degree in music education from the University of Texas Rio Grade Valley, he performed in operas, concerts and recitals. He founded and directs the Dolce Armonia Choral Ensemble, composes and arranges music, and performs in the award-winning Mariachi Estrellas.
